I have redone the entry selector to the present state on this website.

I have several new paintings done, and am working on more!

The blog here is no longer active.

While thumbing through a copy of Direct Art, I asked myself if I was purposely kitsch or not. And I would have to say that, insofar as I take myself seriously, I am not intending to be kitsch. But the popular market does not seem to take itself very seriously, unless they are attacking an (empty) cause such as the preponderance of McDonald's and how fat Americans are becoming, or whatever. I mainly paint to express ideas, and the popular market can be judged by it's scream appeal. That is to say, how much a piece of art makes you want to scream. If my ideas, in the end, are kitsch, then so much the better for my not wanting to be like everybody else, and follow the latest fad. "Rebellion got paid."

I announce that I will have several pieces at the Warehouse 1005 Gallery for Art Detour in Phoenix, Arizona. They will be in a style that is new to me. This will be March 6 and 7 in downtown Phoenix. I may someday post them here, but since they are purely abstract and not surreal, they may need a separate page...

Here is where I work now:

Visit us for First Friday/Weekend of March 5,6,and 7th. Cheers!

I need to say here that the Warehouse 1005 is an outgrowth of Art Awakenings, and is an independent affiliate.
